The Ironman Open Blog is... Open!

I'm exhausted from the Tour de France, and that's just from the hours of OLN.

Unfortunately Ironman racing does not get quite the same television coverage, yet. We can make up the difference collectively here in this blog.

You are thus invited to join our group reporting / commentating / cheering / editorial efforts.

Know a little something about Ironman? Have any insight into the competitors? Have a few opinions about training or racing strategy? Or perhaps you are racing and want to post here for all your friends world wide to read...

There are free tools to help us:

photoblogger "Hello" which is very slick and convenient, and

BlogThis! which lets you create a blog entry anytime you see surf to something interesting

And of course you know the story:

A famous triathlete by the name of Scott was on a 747 when the stewardess asked if he could please come to the cockpit and meet the captain. Scott got there to see the pilot on the floor passed out, and the co-pilot sweating profusely, extremely jumpy, and fumbling with an aeronautical map. The co-pilot looked up:

"How the hell do I get to Kona, Scott?"

To which Scott answered

"You know, I get asked that a lot..."

To join: send Eric.Pederson an e-mail at @gmail.com and I'll send you an invite that will set you up. cheers...
